In Loving Memory of Robert Michela March 18, 1959 - August 23, 2023 Robert, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully departed this world on August 23, 2023, at the age of 64. He was born to his loving parents, Cecelia and Robert Vidovich, the latter who passed away when Robert was very young. He was later adopted by Ceil's second husband, Robert Michela, who raised him, along with his siblings, Mary, John, and George (Chi), as his own. Robert's devotion to his family was exceptional; he was a loving father to his two sons, Jericho and Justin (Drew DeHart) Michela, as well as his stepchildren, Danny (Dez Perez) Edmett, Jori (Sesai Alarcon-Cabanas) Edmett; the children of his wife of 13 years, Barb Mason. Barb and Robert dated each other long ago, prior to Robert's move from Chicago, to Santa Barbara, CA. Decades later, he discovered that Barb lived near him in Vegas, and reached out to her to reconnect. They ended up rekindling their romance, and their enduring love was a testament to the profound connection they shared, bringing each other immense happiness and comfort. Robert will forever be remembered as an extraordinary grandfather to his five cherished grandchildren, Kylee, Casey, Drew, Jaden, and Jaxson. Also surviving Robert is his mother, Ceil Michela, his brother, Chi (Aki) Michela, and his baby sister, Mary (David Bealer) Michela.One of Robert's greatest joys in life was singing karaoke with his loyal friend, Big George. With George by his side, he took center stage, microphone in hand, captivating audiences with his infectious enthusiasm. Robert had a passion for music that brought joy to everyone who had the pleasure of watching him perform. Along with karaoke, he starred in a Broadway in the Hood production of Driving Miss Daisy at The Smith Center, and once danced back-up for Demi Lovato at the MGM Grand. Robert coached little league for many years and enjoyed working in the yard, along with watching the hummingbirds. Robert leaves behind a vast circle of friends and family who were touched by his warmth, kindness, and charismatic personality. His remarkable ability to connect with people left an indelible mark on the lives of many. Robert dedicated the majority of his life to the ever-evolving world of advertising, sales, and marketing. His unwavering commitment to his profession served as an inspiration to countless individuals, leaving an enduring mark on the industry. A Memorial Service for Robert will be held on Saturday, September 9th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Butler Memorial Chapel, located at 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. A Celebration of Life event will be held afterward at Aloha Kitchen, located at 2605 S Decatur Blvd, Ste 110 from 2 to 4 PM. As we bid farewell to Robert, we celebrate a life characterized by passion, creativity, and love. A love that continued on, even after death, as an organ donor, with 5 lives saved due to his generous and caring nature. May he find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire and uplift us all.
