Monica Alayne Dietz passed away on May 19, 2026, surrounded by her family in Las Vegas, Nevada. Monica was born June 3, 1993, in Henderson, Nevada, to Keith and Evelyn Petersen. Monica was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduated from Sunrise Mountain High School in 2012. She attended the University Nevada, Las Vegas where she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She later got her Master's in Business Management from Western Governors University. Monica was fortunate to meet her sweetheart, Nathaniel, very young. Together, they shared a love that endured every season of life. Their love is one that will never falter. Nathaniel was her one true love, the kind you hear about in fairytales. They were married February 6, 2014, in the St. George, Utah Temple, where they were sealed for time and all eternity. Their son Samuel Levi was born on January 8, 2020, in Las Vegas. They then had their daughter, Abigail Caroline, on November 22, 2021, in Las Vegas. They had their last son, Anders Morgan, on April 23, 2026, in Las Vegas. Monica was a friend to everyone, and anyone who was blessed to meet her loved her instantly. If someone told her something was impossible or that it couldn’t be done, she would set out to prove them wrong. Though she was only 5’5”, she carried the confidence, strength, and presence of someone eight feet tall. She was a fighter her entire life, and she fought till the very end. Once Monica set her mind to something, nothing could stand in her way. She knew how to have fun, enjoy life to the fullest, and make people around her smile and laugh. She was an incredible mother to Samuel, Abigail, and Anders. Monica wanted the best for her children. She planned extravagant birthday parties for them, magical Disneyland trips, and turned everyday moments into special memories. She loved her children with all her heart, and she was always their biggest fan. Monica loved God and loved helping others feel closer to Him. Monica was loved by so many, and she brought so much light into their world. She blessed every person's life when they met her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Monica is survived by her husband Nathaniel, her three children, Samuel (6), Abigail (4) , and Anders (1 month), her father Keith, her mother Evelyn, her five siblings, Melissa (Wesley), Chelsea (Adam), Amanda (Maverick), Christian (Madisen), and Daniel, her father in law Dan, mother in law Lanice, her brother in law Jeremiah (Deanna), and her 15 nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held June 1, 2026 at 10:00 am. There will be a viewing from 9:00 am to 9:45 am. Location: 1825 N Hollywood Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89156.
