Kelly Lynn Brown Obituary Kelly Lynn Brown, our loving mother, passed away Friday June 13th, 2025, after an unprecedented and courageous fight with Lymphoma. She was only 61 years old. Kelly was born in La Porte, Indiana to Thomas and Charlene Bridges. Kelly was hardworking and determined from a young age. She grew up in Marcellus, Michigan where she loved to take summer vacations to Cedar Point. One of her first jobs was running an insurance company, where she worked in a mostly male dominated field. Kelly never backed down from a challenge and always stood up for what she believed was right. She had her first daughter in Michigan in 1994, then moved to Las Vegas, where she met her husband, John Brown, and had her second daughter in 1997 In Las Vegas, Kelly worked in timeshare as one of the top salespeople at Hilton, Grand View, and Tahiti Village. Kelly loved all aspects of vacationing, but mostly she loved the memories and stories that would come from traveling. Kelly unfortunately had to stop working when she became disabled in 2011 from her health. Kelly battled her health for a long time, but it never broke her spirit. She was loving and kind and was always there when you needed her. In 2024, she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Though she and her family couldn’t have known it at the time, it would become the most difficult fight of her life. True to form, Kelly gave everything she had to stay with her loved ones. Kelly adored taking care of her two dachshunds, Eleanor and Theodore, having morning coffee in her backyard, watching her favorite television shows and spending time with her two daughters. Kelly always called her daughters her pride and joy. She was incredibly proud of them, and was by far their biggest supporter. Her daughters will miss her more than they could ever explain. Despite ups and downs, John was always there, and he will miss her deeply. They are all having a very hard time imagining a future without her in it, she was their rock. Kelly is survived by her children, Kealy J. Brown and Shae-Lyn VanderJagt. Her husband, John P. Brown. Her sister Stephanie M. Holm and brother Thomas J. Bridges Jr. I’m Free Don't grieve for me for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard His call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work, or play. I found peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. O yes, these things too, I will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee... God wanted me now. He set me free.
