Joseph James Franzini

Joseph James Franzini, 73, of Las Vegas, NV passed away May 21, 2021, with family by his side. He was born November 4, 1947 in Beaver Falls, PA to Sarah and Joseph V. Franzini. He moved to Las Vegas in the 1970's. He met, fell in love with, and married Sharon in 1981. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He worked in the casino industry for 20 years before changing careers to what was his true calling, helping others. He worked as an EMT and non-emergent transport supervisor. He also volunteered as a crisis counselor. When he was not working, he loved spending time with his family, crafts (especially painting) and watching his favorite team, The Pittsburgh Steelers. He discovered his spirituality at an early age. He even attended the seminary in early adulthood. Even though he eventually choose a different path, he never lost his faith in God and his deep spirituality. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Joseph, and his sister Donna. He is survived by his children: Vincent Franzini, Cindy Burke and Darrell Wolter, his five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Joseph was a well loved, creative and caring man. He will be missed by all that knew him. God saw he was getting tired a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around him and whispered "Come with Me". With tearful eyes we watched him suffer, and saw him fade away, although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23
