Elaine Elizabeth Marin (nee Chiasson), resident of the Bronx and Las VegasJanuary 17, 1932 - March 8, 2023Born to William and Evelyn Chiasson (d) Married to Kenneth Marin (d)Sister Janet Rizzuto (nee Chiasson), brother, William Chiasson (d), daughters Linda Marin Faughnan,Susan Marin Vitello, and Ellen Marin. Also survived by grandchildren Christopher Faughnan, JenniferFaughnan, Elizabeth Faughnan, and Danielle Franco. Great grandchildren Stephen and AshleyTorres.Also survived by brother-in-law, Richard Marin and Paul Vitello, sister-in-law Jeanne Marin, and numerous nieces andnephews.Elaine was the second of three children and grew up in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx. Sheattended PS 36 and James Monroe High School. She married her husband Kenneth in 1951. In1955, she welcomed her first daughter Linda and then her second daughter Susan in 1956. In 1962,her third daughter Ellen was born. Elaine worked as a secretary for the Bogner and Martin law firmand then the City of New York, Department of Water and Sewers. She was a hard worker and verymeticulous about her work. During her work career, she also earned an associate's degree fromLaGuardia Community College. Elaine was very generous to many charitable organizations, herfavorites being Lighthouse Guild for the Blind and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada. Shealso donated many pints of blood for many years to help with the shortage of blood. In her sparetime, Elaine loved playing Bingo and going to the casinos in Atlantic City and Las Vegas.When she retired, Elaine and Kenneth started to enjoy traveling, including many trips to Atlantic City,London, California and then Las Vegas. They ultimately made Las Vegas their home and lovedeverything about it, especially the casinos and the nice weather.Elaine was a vibrant, loving and happy person....she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother,sister, daughter and friend.
