Born on May 29, 1965, Darin lived a life full of warmth, generosity, laughter, and deep love—a life marked by great triumphs, tender moments, and courageous struggles. Darin was one of those rare souls whose hugs could mend a broken heart and whose laughter could fill a room with light. His joy was infectious and his spirit magnetic. Whether you knew him for years or just a few minutes, you likely walked away from a conversation with him feeling uplifted. Professionally, Darin was a gifted salesman—instinctive, charming, and endlessly persuasive. But his greatest success wasn’t in what he sold; it was in how he connected. People trusted him, not because he convinced them to buy something, but because they felt the sincerity in every word. He was someone who made you believe in what was possible—whether it was a product, a dream, or yourself. More than anything, Darin loved deeply—especially those who stood by him through all seasons of his life. Chief among them was his beloved wife, Sabrina Asay. In Sabrina, Darin found more than a partner. He found his best friend, his greatest supporter, and his soulmate. Their marriage, which spanned more than 20 years, was built on love, humor, and unwavering devotion. With her, he felt safe. With her, he was home. Darin carried his share of burdens throughout life, fighting demons that at times weighed heavily on his shoulders. Yet he never stopped trying. His courage in the face of these mental and physical battles, and his refusal to give up on the people he loved, defined his quiet strength. Though we are devastated that the darkness eventually overcame him, we will forever remember the light he shared so freely with those around him. Darin leaves behind a circle of friends and family who loved him deeply and will miss him beyond words. He is survived by his amazing wife Sabrina Asay, his sister Terri and his mother Jean. He is also survived by his children Amanda, Alexander, Yvette and Andrew. We take comfort in the belief that he is now reunited with his beloved father and brother—two guiding lights in his life who now welcome him into the next chapter, where we know they are already getting into a bit of mischief together, just like old times. Though Darin had questions about what comes after this life, we are comforted by the thought that he has found peace, love, and maybe even answers. His journey continues, just on a different path. Those who truly knew Darin understood the size of his heart, the depth of his care, and the sincerity of his laughter. His absence leaves a silence that echoes in the lives of everyone lucky enough to have been part of his world. But even in our sorrow, we are grateful—grateful to have known him, to have been loved by him, and to carry forward the memory of a man who gave so much of himself to others. Darin D.
