Cheri Lynn Padovese

On the morning of March 3, 2020, our beloved Cheri Lynn Padovese, 63, was called home to Heaven. On June 23, 1956, Cheri Lynn was born to Irwin and Shirley Bangen, in Crookston, Minnesota. At the early age of 17, Cheri had a full time job at Pepsi, while she took over the care of her three younger siblings. A nurturer by nature, she quickly became their mother figure. In 1976, Cheri relocated to Las Vegas, where she quickly found her niche in the insurance industry as a bond underwriter. Soon after she would meet the love of her life, David Padovese and on June 10, 1978 she and David were married. Cheri eventually went on to open and manage Frontier Bonding Company, where she would eventually earn the title of Vice President, and where she would remain, until a medical disability caused her early retirement in 1995. Cheri was a woman dedicated to her family. She rarely missed a little league game, a football game, or a band concert. She could always be counted on for making a cake for the school carnival, or baking for the class bake sale. There was never a sacrifice she wouldn't make for her family. She would wake up around 4:00 AM to make sure she could talk with her husband each day before he left for work, and always made sure all her daily tasks were complete prior to him returning home. Her favorite holiday was Christmas in every aspect. She loved to decorate the entire house including everything from the kitchen cabinets to the bathroom mirrors. Cheri loved country music, and especially enjoyed attending concerts. Above all, she enjoyed being a wonderful Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandma, and friend. Cheri was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Shirley, and Keith Durnen, in-laws, William Sr., and Norma Padovese, brother Scotty Bangen, and brother in-laws, Allen Carter, and William Padovese, Jr. Cheri is survived by her father and step-mother, Irwin and Beverly Bangen, husband, David Padovese, her children, Stephanie Padovese (Bebly Grays) and Matthew Padovese, her grandchildren, David, Tabitha, Joseph, Elijah, Ni'Elion, and Amelia, sisters, Cindy Gerardin and Connie Nelson, brothers, Craig and Jason Bangen, brother in-law, Rick Padovese, sister in-laws Kathleen Carter, and Michelle Bangen, nieces, Jennifer Jeffs, Krystal Nelson, Ashley Padovese, and Oakly Bangen, nephews, William Padovese, III, Steven Padovese, Adam Padovese, Brandon Harmon, Jared Brennan, Alex Padovese, and Hoyt Bangen and 10 great nieces and nephews. The Memorial Service, as well as, Celebration of Life Reception has been postponed due to recent developments regarding the Coronavirus and the guidelines regarding gatherings of 50 plus people. Please be advised that we will be Celebrating the Life of Cheri Padovese as the situation permits. I will update this information as I am able.
