Andrea R Williams

Andrea "Drey" Rochell Williams, 50, received her wings on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on April 21, 1971, in Boynton Beach, Florida to Lawrence T. Williams and Linda J. Cleveland. She was the oldest of three children, her brother, Lawrence Tremayne preceded her in death. Andrea grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she received her formal education at 24th Street Elementary School. She attended high school at Milwaukee School of the Arts where she was a strong and talented soprano and participated in various musical competitions. Andrea was a graduate of Madison High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1990. Andrea attended University of Wisconsin Milwaukee for 2 years where she majored in Business Administration. She was baptized into the family of believers at the age of 11, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a member she served in the following organizations: Junior/Senior Usher Board, and a faithful choir member. Andrea was a master truck driver, she taught many driving skills to others. She also was blessed with other talents such as: carpentry, barbering skills, customizing of shoes, and assembly. Her hobbies included collecting and trading sneakers; she was better known as "Sneaker Head" (150 pair). She was also a true Los Angeles Lakers fan,her favorite player was Kobe Bryant. She leaves to morn her wife; Valentine, children; Roy, Valentino and Elijha. Her loving mother, Linda Witherspoon (John) Las Vegas, Nevada, and her father Lawrence Williams, Lakeworth, Florida, three sisters; Melodie (Chris) Washington residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, Samantha and Patricia Williams residing in Boynton Beach, Florida, one sister in law; Sharon Williams residing in Leonardo, New Jersey. One aunt, Mae Kern, residing in Milwaukee Wisconsin. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. I'm Free Don't grieve for me for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard His call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. O yes, these things too, I will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee... God wanted me now. He set me free.
