Sharon Loraine Smith

Sharron Lorraine Smith April 2, 1940 - October 29, 2018 Sharron Lorraine Smith, an amazing woman who lit up every room with her grace and beauty, died peacefully at home on Monday, October 29, 2018 in Henderson, NV at the age of 78. Her spirit is carried on by her three children, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three surviving siblings, and an extended family of loved ones and friends from every walk of life. She was born to the late Harold Cadieux and Caroline Swaitkowski Cadieux Scherr in Anaconda, Montana on April 2, 1940, where she was raised and later moved to Hawaii with then-husband Leo "Ronnie" Smith. She raised three children in Hawaii before ultimately settling in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a member of the Local 5 in Honolulu, HI and the Local 226 Culinary Union in Las Vegas, NV, Sharron was a popular waitress who always had a smile on her face and made many lifelong friends out of her coworkers and repeat customers. Sharron loved music and in her younger years loved to play her accordion and Baby Grand piano. She loved entertaining family and friends and always cooked enough to feed an army. She was famous for saying "if you go hungry it's your own fault!" For as much as she loved to cook she also loved to eat and her family was often impressed at just how many crab legs such a small woman could put down. Sharron was incredibly proud of her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her everything. An ever present fixture at school and sporting events, Sharron was her grandchildren's biggest cheerleader. Even as her health declined she still made weekly trips to California for her grandson Trevor's football games. She was so excited to be a "GG" and often described her time with her great-granddaughters as her "therapy." Sharron joins her parents, her stepfather John Scheer and her beloved sister Carol Ohler in heaven. She leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories to her surviving family, which include: Mother of 3 Children: Leo Smith III (and his wife, Elizabeth); Rhonda Nofoa (and her husband, John); and Roxanne Ferrando (and her husband, Paul) "Granny Grand Prix" to 6: Bryanna Rader (and her husband, Chuck); Travis, Trevor, and Atyanna Nofoa; Eric Wilkes; Mikayla Horner "GG" to 2: Harper and Willow Rader Dear Sister to 3: Patricia Kujala (and her husband, Jim); Joe Cadieux; and Betty Magers (and her husband, Doug). Other family and loved ones: Unfortunately, too many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends to list or even count Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2127 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102 from 2pm-4pm.
