Peter Junior Richardson

Mr. Peter J. Richardson (Pete) Departed his early life on September 13, 2021 at the age of 61. Peter J. Richardson was born March 22, 1960 in Flint, Michigan; the son of Samuel Charles Richardson and Cora Lee Hollman. Mr. Richardson graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1978. Shortly after, he joined the US Army where he specialized in Artillery. Mr. Richardson served his country for 8 years before settling in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, he lived for 37 years while providing Security Services throughout the city. Mr. Richardson was a loving and entertaining man. He always brought a smile and laugh to anyone he met. He himself smiled and laughed the most while he enjoyed staying home and spending time with his family, and close friends. Peter J. Richardson leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Shontel Cisco Gates and Camilla (Demechio) Evans both of Flint, MI, Life partner Linda Meads of Las Vegas NV; 5 sisters; Lucille Martin, of Anderson, SC, Cynthia (Levi) Pierce, of Saginaw MI, Cora Mae Abruquah of Flint, MI, Sammie Lee Richardson of Flint. MI, and Scarlet Richardson of Flint, MI; 1 brother, James Richardson of Flint , MI, 7 grand daughters, Auntiauna, Tye'Shon, Maniah, Kameel, Te'Renai, Tammi and De'Zha; 1 grandson Demechio Jr all of Flint, MI; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends including Tammy Gates, Tyrone Cox and Rickey Gill. Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Charles Richardson and Cora Lee Hollman; 2 sisters, Katie Williams and Bertha Hollman; 3 brothers, Jerry Martin, John Hollman and Donald Hollman. The family would like to give a special thank you to the ICU staff at University Medical Center for giving comfortable and compassionate care to our loved one. Peter J. Richardson will rest alongside his fellow military veterans in the columbarium of Great Lakes National Cemetery at 4200 Belford Rd. Holly, MI. A memorial service will be held on location on October 28, 2021. If you would like to attend the service, please contact Shontel or Camilla for further details. When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul that's set free. Miss me a little, but not too long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we knew and laugh at the things that we used to do. Miss me, but let me go.
