Pahl F. Young

Pahl F. Young, age 83, went home to heaven on January 24th, 2021 where he was reunited with his high school sweetheart, best friend and wife of 63 beautiful years, Ruth Ann. Pahl was born March 18, 1937 in Sparta, WI to Pahl A. and Orezalle Young. He grew up in Elroy, WI where he graduated in 1955. In 1957, Pahl was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ruth Ann Blank. Pahl and Ruth Ann started their family in Madison, WI. In 1971, a job promotion relocated them to Manitowoc, Wisconsin where they lived and raised their 5 children. In 1996, Pahl and Ruth Ann retired to Las Vegas, Nevada. Pahl always enjoyed returning to Wisconsin for a few months every summer to visit family and friends. Pahl worked hard in all aspects of his life and took pride in doing things the right way. He worked at Wausau Insurance Company for 27 years where he earned several accolades during his sales career. He was able to take his wife on company sales incentive trips. Pahl loved to laugh and to make others laugh, especially his grandchildren; his smile could light up the room. He went above and beyond to help, and accommodate, others but he especially loved his family and would do anything for them. One of his greatest joys in life was being "Bumpa" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He would often carpool them to and from school. Pahl always enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in sports, school events, and extracurricular activities and was always so proud of them. He also enjoyed traveling with his family both across the country and within the state, with many of those being camping trips. When he moved to Las Vegas, Pahl couldn't wait to put in a pool so that he and Ruth could host family gatherings outside in the beautiful weather. They took great joy in having the whole family together whether they were swimming in the pool, hosting holidays, or watching Sunday Packer games. Pahl's love for the Packers was second only to his family. Pahl was loved and respected by all who knew him. Although we miss him dearly, we take comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his loving wife in eternity. Pahl is survived by his children, Tonja Young of Two Rivers, WI, Pahl (Jacquie) Young of Las Vegas, NV, Todd (Victoria) Young of Las Vegas, NV, Kim (Steve) Kenaston of Hales Corners, WI, and Jeremy (Brenda) Young of Las Vegas, NV. He is further survived by his 11 grandchildren, Jenni (TC) Cabello, Bob (Krista) Krepline, Lucyann Krepline, Brittney Kenaston, Kaitlyn Kenaston, Abbey Kenaston, Mackenzie Young, PJ Young, Grace Young, Emily Young, and Bailey Young; five great-grandchildren, Kayla Rutledge, Becky Krepline, Bobby Krepline, Addison Peterson and Mason Cabello; sister Patricia (John) Kuhn; as well as nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Blank) Young, his parents, Pahl and Orezalle, his brother, John Young, as well as his parents-in-law, his brother-in-law, a niece, and three nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 30th at Faith Community Lutheran Church. The new church is located at 3505 South Town Center Drive, Las Vegas.
