Marcus Kline Jr.

Marcus Kline, Jr., devoted Christian and family man passed into the arms of Jesus on November 26, 2020. He was 74. Marcus was born on June 6, 1946 in Sellersville, Pennsylvania to Marcus Sr. and Theresia Kline. He attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan and studied Accounting & Business through 1971 and was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. Soon after he began his career as an outside auditor, Marcus met his future bride, Carolyn, in 1973. They were married on Sept. 28, 1974 at Calvary Temple in South Philadelphia and recently celebrated their 46th anniversary. Marcus began a career at Cardo Automotive Products in Philadelphia and moved on to Cardone Industries, before transferring to California as the company's West Coast Regional Buyer. Despite his age at the time, he passed the rigorous physical and psychological exams which launched his career into law enforcement for Orange County, CA Sheriff's Dept. Marcus and Carolyn were called to Las Vegas, NV where he got a job with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a Behavior Detection Officer for 13 years until his retirement. Marcus was an avid Harley rider and lover of classic cars. He owned a Harley Davidson Springer and Classic Corvette. He was an integral part of the MC4JC motorcycle ministry at Saddleback Church, where he and Carolyn attended. Marcus was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan along with Carolyn and often told friends, "That's why I married my wife!" He also loved shooting, and this past October was privileged to honor his longtime friend, Doug who passed away by firing the first 10 shots in a 21-gun salute honoring him at the Big Cedar Shooting Academy in Branson, Missouri. Marcus also loved to watch Westerns and was a big fan of "The Duke," John Wayne. His sense of humor was priceless, lived life to the fullest & loved his family with a great passion. Marcus was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his two sons, Marcus III (and Valarie) of Austin, Texas and Daniel (and Jinay) of Las Vegas; a sister, Vickie Gurzau (and Adrian) of West Windsor, NJ ; three grandchildren Tyler (Katelyn) Joshua and Madison; one great grandchild Autumn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins A Celebration of the Life of Marcus Kline Jr. is pending.
