Lorene Kay Webber

Lorene Kay Webber, 84, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away surrounded by loved ones on August 23, 2021. Lorene was born on September 1st 1936 to Edith and Theodore Smith in Lane County Oregon. After graduating from high school in Harrisburg, Oregon, she enrolled in liberal studies at the University of Oregon. After college she took a position at a bank, before marrying and having two daughters. Lorene was an entrepreneur who owned multiple small businesses, including gift, video and pool supply stores as well as a tanning salon. Lorene had a generous heart and was a gracious host. She opened her home to friends and family members when they were in need. She had a quick wit, strong sense of humor and positive outlook on life. We will fondly remember her love for street rods, old cars, shopping sprees, sweet treats, and tremendous compassion for all animals, especially cats. Lorene had impeccable taste in fashion, antiquing, and flower arranging. She was a beautiful painter, with an eye for detail and color composition. An avid reader of mystery novels, she loved watching thriller mystery movies. Lorene was a talented pianist who could express her emotions through her playing. She embraced many different genres of music such as Rod Stewart, Johnny Cash, and Queen. Lorene spent the majority of her life in beautiful Oregon. Her greatest joy was spending time and participating in her children's and grandchildren's lives. She would travel great distances to be present in all major family milestones. Lorene, who was affectionately called "Grams" was often seen at her grandchildren's sporting events cheering them on, wearing a floppy hat and a ton of sunscreen. Lorene enjoyed the thrill of adventure and learning about the history of each state she traveled. She loved sharing many stories of her adventures and talking about growing up in a small town. She was preceded in death by her husband Beldon Webber of Hornbrook, CA . Lorene is survived by many friends and family including two daughters, Diane Piper and partner Cindy Shroba of Las Vegas; Barbara Price and husband Russell Price of Snelling CA; three grandchildren, - Jennifer Price, Rusty Price and wife Theresa, and Kristina Sisseck and husband Jon; three great-grandchildren - Hunter, Curtis and Henry. She is also survived by friend and companion John Tungate of Medford, OR Please light a candle in her memory, or consider a donation to the Alzheimer's foundation or to a no kill animal shelter of your choice. The family will be arranging a private celebration of life at a future date as well as inurnment at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford, OR.
