Lilly Celetta Bond

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Wife, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, Aunt and gifted friend, Lilly Celetta Bond. She passed peacefully while holding her daughter's hand on October 4th, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 73. Celetta was born on February 24th 1950 in Springfield, IL., the daughter of a farmer. They left Illinois in 1962 and headed West to California, where she resided until 2018. She then moved to Las Vegas, NV with her Husband Ted. In a career that started as a hairdresser and concluded in the mortgage business, she was extremely successful and retired after 30 years. She will forever inspire and live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her, not only in business but also in her personal life. The elegant way she walked into a room whether at work or into the clubhouse at the golf course. She carried herself with grace and pride. You always knew when she walked into the room, the sparkly clothes or the leopard prints she was wearing. Never a hair out of place and nothing but class. Celetta was an avid golfer, she worked hard on making the fewest putts and keeping her handicap down. She joined the women's club at Belmont Country Club and won many awards! Playing from the East coast, Hilton Head all the way to the West Coast at Pebble Beach. She absolutely loved being on the golf course. She was also a great cook, loved to travel to beautiful destinations and spend time with family and friends playing cards. Whether shopping, enjoying a glass of wine or just relaxing at the pool, she always had a contagious laugh and giving heart. Her loving smile and gentle face will forever be missed. Celetta's joy really came out during the holidays, especially because Christmas was her first granddaughter's birthday. Watching her grandchildren with enthusiasm and the delicious feasts with family and friends in the kitchen. She looked forward to it every year. Left to cherish her memories are her husband Ted Bond, her daughter Renee E. Velasquez, grandchildren, Shanel L. Lopez, Ciera P. Nguyen, Presli J. Skinner and Tucker H. Velasquez, great grandchildren Jaxx, Jett and soon to be Kikko. Her brother, James Burton, sisters Janice Grushka, Irma Lowman, Marilyn Gers, Susan Burton and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. If Roses Grow In Heaven If roses grow in heaven Lord Please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mother's arms And tell her they're from me. Tell her that I love and miss her, And when she turns to smile, Place a kiss on her cheek And hold her for awhile, Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day. But there's an ache within my heart that will never go away.
