Dorothy Turner

Dorothy Turner, beloved daughter of Frank & Louise Culp, was born in Winston Salem North Carolina in May of 1942. Numerous years of her childhood were spent in New York City with her two sisters & being from a large family she was also in the genuine presence of many other members while residing there as well. As Dorothy continued to grow, she further discovered her love for the art of music & dance which led her to meet her beau who later became her husband. Together in time they had four children two sons & two daughters & it was from those blessings over time she was also given three amazing grandchildren. In the midst of being a very caring mother & a new grandmother, Dorothy also cared a lot about the earth & the aspect of recycling. She took pleasure in finding extra ways to be creative & discovered that she was also very talented with making handmade crafts. She would make so many beautiful & remarkable things! Many of which were amazingly made out of everyday household items & it was from her passion to create that she then came up with the ever so witty nickname "Dottie Do" & those who knew her would extend the name even further to "Dottie Do's It" & Does It"! All of which would always bring her added smiles! Dottie was also such a vibrant & outgoing person! She truly loved spending time with her family & friends & also treasured the special individual bonds everyone had and created with her. She had fun dancing around the house & listening to music with her kids, cooking, baking, with them & going out to try different restaurants. Enjoyed taking scenic drives or going to new shops with her eldest daughter, loved volunteering in the community & watching creative design shows with her youngest daughter & always delighted in spending time crafting together with her & her granddaughter nicknamed Pnut. She would also have such a pleasant experience going out to listen to music & to hear a longtime friend sing & more! On March 26, 2021. Dorothy "Dottie Do" Turner's everso beautiful presence & wings took flight from earth to her next journey in heaven & she passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years old. She was surrounded by the ever so loving ambiance of her family. There aren't enough words to describe how greatly her sincere, genuine & extremely easy to love demeanor & personality will be missed! But her incredible spirit will continue to shine & will always be remembered in the hearts & lives of all those who knew her. Never To Be Forgotten....
