DOLORES (DEE) HANNA Dolores M. (Farris) Hanna, age 90, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her children Friday, May 25, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born in Cleveland, OH to Nageeb and Amelia (Bourjaily) Farris and was one of seven children. In her youth and throughout adulthood, Dolores was an operatic singer, gracing churches with her voice in their choirs and hitting the highest of notes in order to get her children to run out of the house to play. Relocating to Los Angeles in the 1950's, she worked for Standard Oil Company. She was very devoted, faithful Christian whose legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren. Active in the Orthodox Church, she met the love of her life, her husband, Hal (d.2008) and enjoyed 52 years of a blissful, devoted marriage. Dolores is survived by her daughters Sue and Janet; son, Gilbert (Kelly); and her three beautiful granddaughters, Brianna, Amelia and Alexi. Dee was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt and cousin. Her love for everything family showed in her passion as a homemaker. Her Middle Eastern cooking rivaled that of the great chefs passed on through generations of her family. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Richard Farris and Louis (Corrine) Farris; brothers-in-law V. Rev. Father James C. Meena; Thomas George; Ronald Swope; and Sam Hanna; sisters-in-law Olga Khoury; and Lorraine Baba; survived by her sisters Ruth Meena and Corrine George; and brothers Ramon (Helen) Farris and Edmund (Geri) Farris; as well as her brother-in-law George Baba and sisters-in-law Corinne Farris and Adele Swope. She will be remembered as a small but mighty force who was kind and loving to all. Visitation (4-6pm) and Prayer Service (6pm) will be held at Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102 on Thursday, May 31, 2018. Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 9:20 am in the Chapel at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
