David Wayne PadoveseAugust 9, 1954 - November 23, 2023On the afternoon of November 23, 2023, our beloved David Wayne Padovese, 69, was called home to Heaven, and reunited with his loving wife, Cheri.On August 9, 1954, David Wayne was born to William and Norma Jane Padovese, in Phoenix, Arizona. At the age of 9, his family relocated to Henderson, Nevada, where he would remain throughout his school years. David attended Basic High School, where he enjoyed playing football and his many friends. He had a love for fast muscle cars and in his early years, owned quite a few of his own. While in his early twenties, David met the love of his life, Cheri, and on June 10, 1978, they were married. Shortly after, their family grew as they welcomed 2 children. When he wasn't at work, you could often find David on the sidelines of a little league baseball game where he enjoyed coaching his son and nephews. He also enjoyed spending time at the Padovese family's cabin in Duck Creek, Utah. He was a "Jack of all trades," and was often called upon by family and friends to help with anything from car repairs to house renovations, to moving appliances. There was never a request to big. David was a man of true devotion. He was committed to his job, but more than anything, he was dedicated to his family. His wife Cheri and his children meant everything to him and there was never a sacrifice he wouldn't make for the ones he loved. When David became a grandpa, or "Grandpoo" as they called him, his strong love and family loyalty grew even more. He attended many events including everything from golf tournaments, and softball games, to football games and band concerts. He was a man of many talents who worked hard and loved even harder.David was a hard worker who held a variety of different positions with companies such as Sparklets, Nevada Ready Mix, and Frontier Bonding. He later went on to secure a position with Clark County Real Property Management where he would eventually earn a supervisor position and remain for over 25 years. He was a dedicated employee and throughout his time with the county he met a lot of great people and developed many lasting friendships. Throughout his life, David helped so many people, and left an impression on all those who knew him. He was so many different things to many different people. He was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandpoo, Mentor, and friend.David was preceded in death by his mother and father, William and Norma Padovese, wife, Cheri Padovese, mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Keith Durnen, brother William Padovese, Jr., and brother in-law, Allan Carter.David is survived by his father and mother in law, Irwin and Beverly Bangen, his daughter, Stephanie Padovese (Bebly Grays, III) son Matthew Padovese, his grandchildren, David, Tabitha, Joseph, Elijah, Ni'Elion, and Amelia, sister, Kathleen Carter, brother, Rick Padovese, sister in-laws Cindy Gerardin and Connie Nelson, brother in laws, Craig and Jason Bangen, nieces, Jennifer Jeffs, Ashley Padovese, and Krystal Nelson, nephews, William Padovese, III, Steven Padovese, Adam Padovese, Brandon Harmon, Jared Brennan, Alex Padovese, and 13 great nieces and nephews.Memorial Services to be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Community Lutheran Church located at 3720 E. Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada 89121. Reception to immediately follow.
