Apryl Michelle Green

Our beloved daughter, sister, and friend was found unresponsive at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada on the morning of June 23rd. The reason behind her untimely departure will forever remain unknown. News of the death comes days after Jimmy, her youngest brother paid her a visit as he headed back to his home in Arizona. Apryl was happy to visit with him and two of her nieces. Apryl grew up Southern California and naturally loved playing outside as a child. The daughter of Navy Chief, Donald Green and Navy recruiter Donna K. Lee. Apryl attended Christ the Cornerstone for a short spell then continued her education in public school. Apryl discovered her love of music at a very young age with her debut performance of Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You', which took place at a school assembly in her hometown, San Diego. Apryl was also an award winning athlete. She ranked number two in the state of California for the Junior Olympics. After an unexpected eruption of her appendix, Apryl abruptly lost interest in sports. She later endured several challenges in her personal life. Her battles never managed to stifle her passion for those that she loved. From birthday celebrations to creatively making Christmas special when our single mother struggled to pay rent. She is survived by both of her parents and her three siblings, Alicia, Joe, and James; her best friends and partner whom she lived with for over 15 years, and 11 nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. When I'm Gone When I come to the end of my journey and I travel my last weary mile, just forget if you can, that I ever frowned and remember only the smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken; remember some good I have done. Forget that I ever had heartache and remember I've had loads of fun. Forget that I have stumbled and blundered and sometimes fell by the way. Remember I have fought some hard battles and won, ere the close of the day, then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day, But in summer just gather some flowers and remember the place where I lay, and come in the evening when the sun paints the sky in the west, stand for a few moments beside me and remember only my best.
